Understanding Honors
How do Honors classes work?
Honors classes are high school courses that are designed to be somewhat more challenging than standard classes. They often move at a faster pace or cover material in slightly greater depth, but the structure and expectations vary widely between schools.
Unlike college-level courses, honors classes are created and graded by the individual school offering them, so there is no universal standard for what an honors course includes or how it is evaluated.
