These stories offer learning experiences, different perspectives, and elegant, beautiful writing, presenting essential moral values that are unparalleled by most other works. It’s important to encourage children to read these books, at least once in a while!

Through the classics, we can see how the world has changed and grown through each era. Information about how people thought and acted during those times can be found between the pages of every book. Laura’s life in Little House on the Prairie, for example, is so different from ours.

It’s common to come across words and phrases that are new to children while reading the classics. This expands their vocabulary and helps them develop a feel for the right grammatical elements. As a result, they become better writers and more adept readers, all thanks to dipping into the classics on occasion.
